The legacy of Vanishing Chinatown is in education. Media Bridges, Inc., (MBI) is a non-profit educational media company that will bring Vanishing Chinatown to middle schools as well as high school and university students. MBI will contract with the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE) to design and distribute a curriculum. Cost: $30,000

THE FINISHED FILM: Thanks to your financial support, we finished the half-hour film, Vanishing Chinatown. While COVID-19 has altered the plans of many screening and film festivals, Vanishing Chinatown was seen in Northern California on PBS KVIE, the Sacramento-area public television station, and will air in September 2020.
OUTREACH AND DISTRIBUTION: We are making Vanishing Chinatown available for screenings by community groups, cultural organizations, libraries, and universities. We entered Vanishing Chinatown in film festivals, and it won the Audience Award at the Seattle Asian American Film Festival. But subsequent film festivals were postponed, rescheduled, or went virtual with limited selections due to COVID-19. We are continuing to seek other venues to screen Vanishing Chinatown. Cost: $10,000
NATIONAL STEP-UP: The Vanishing Chinatown team is seeking funding to take our film national in 2021. Cost: $8,000
